What inspired you to start Love is on Lake George?
We love Lake George! When we returned home to Glens Falls, we wanted to share our love for the region. My dad always said "work for yourself", so we combined the two and started Love is on Lake George to share products that feature the area and are handmade locally.
What's the most memorable product request you've received?
A couple came to us requesting a custom oar that was etched with their names, wedding date, and silhouette of Lake George. They wanted to use it as the guest book for their wedding and they needed it in 10 days. We found a way to make it happen and now it's one of our most popular items! They loved it so much that they came back to us asking for groomsmen socks that also had the Lake George silhouette. There are so many great ideas! Many of the things we carry regularly came from the ideas of our customers. One of our newer items, a stemless champagne flute also started as a special request.

Could you tell us a little bit about you and your family?
I come from a pretty big family, with two brothers and two sisters. They still make me laugh but it's my grandchildren that keep me laughing! My puppy is the newest member of the family. Our daily walks are great for my physical and mental health. Especially now!
What is your favorite part about working with a couple for a wedding?
It's such a special honor to enhance their day and memories. I love providing a lasting piece for them to treasure and giving their guests a forever thank you.
